A few weeks ago we began discussing the top five common mistakes I see sellers make and share how you can steer clear of them when you’re ready to sell your home.

Seller Mistake #4
Getting Emotional

Getting Emotional

When you’re selling your home, it’s easy to let emotions take over — it’s another misstep I see sellers make.

And gosh, it’s no wonder.

You adore your home. It holds so many memories — from the kids growing up and heading off to college to mourning the passing of a loved one together in the living room, your home has been the central scene of both the joys and sorrows of life.

Plus, you’ve spent every extra penny and free weekend, caring for your little piece of heaven on earth.

Before you list your home, celebrate all that it’s been to you. Write it down, share favorite memories around the dinner table, and by all means — have a good long cry.

Then, and only then, will you be ready to see selling your beloved home as the first chapter in the next exciting season of your life instead of the last chapter in a story that’s coming to a close.

Think you might be ready to sell? Give me a call, and let’s start writing the next chapter in your life — together.
