Desert X is back!!!!

Desert X 2023 is open!!

Deset X is an incredible artistic collaboration with international artists who create phenomenal instalations. Every two years they make our desert their home by refelcting and cultivating new ideas and using our natural desert as part of their art piece.

Curated by Artistic Director Neville Wakefield and Co-Curator Diana Campbell, the exhibition will activate the desert landscape through 12 installations by artists from Europe, North America and South Asia, whose poetic and immersive works span sculpture, painting, photography, writing, architecture, design, film, music, performance and choreography, education, and environmental activism.

“Contrary to the archetype, a desert is not defined by the absence of water. The desert landscape is formed by the memory of water.”
