ANNUAL TREE LIGHTING CEREMONY

When: December 1, 2023 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM

On Friday, December 1, 2023, the City of La Quinta will hold its annual Tree Lighting Ceremony at Civic Center Park to kick off the holiday season. Bring the family for all the festivities plus a visit from Santa, from 6 to 8 p.m. This event is free and all are welcome!

TREE LIGHTING CELEBRATION AT THE RIVER

When: December 1, 2023 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM
Where: 71800 Highway 111, Rancho Mirage, CA 92270

Enjoy the Annual Holiday Tree Lighting Celebration at The River, with live music from Tuba Christmas, DJ tommy of Big 106 and more, listen to public speakers from the City and other local businesses, and much more. There will also be a toy drive in partnership with ABC 7 and Riverside county Firefighters “Spark of Love” toy drive.

RITZ-CARLTON RANCHO MIRAGE MENORAH LIGHTING CEREMONY

When: December 7, 2023 – December 15, 2023, Recurring daily
Where: 68900 Frank Sinatra Drive, Rancho Mirage, CA 92270

Hanukkah, a jubilant commemoration of kinship, liberation, and illumination, commences on the 25th day of the Hebrew month of Kislev. Gather with them in the main lobby as they partake in the customary Menorah lighting ceremony. Through this ritual, they kindle light and foster warmth within our community and the wider world. Reservations are not required to attend this complimentary holiday experience.

 

Palm Springs

JINGLE MINGLE TREE LIGHTING

When: December 1, 2023 from 4:30 PM to 5:30 PM
Where: 500 N Palm Canyon Dr, Palm Springs, CA 92262

The Christmas Tree lighting ceremony at Frances Stevens Park in Palm Springs is a highly anticipated event that marks the beginning of the holiday season. This annual tradition brings the community together to celebrate and enjoy the festive spirit. The gathering begins at 4:15 pm with the tree lighting at 5:15 pm. Frances Stevens Park is centrally located downtown at the corner of Alejo and Palm Canyon Drive. The park is adorned with twinkling lights and festive decorations, creating a magical atmosphere for the event. The centerpiece of the celebration is the grand Christmas tree, beautifully decorated with ornaments, tinsel, and lights.There will be crafts for youth, performances by the Dancing Christmas Trees, holiday music, and caroling.

PALM SPRINGS AERIAL TRAMWAY’S TREE LIGHTING

When: December 3, 2023 from 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM
Where: One Tram Way, Palm Springs, CA 92262

Television, stage, and film star Judith Chapman will serve as the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway’s 2023 celebrity tree lighter at the annual Tree Lighting Ceremony on Sunday, December 3. KESQ Meteorologist and “Eye on the Desert” Host Patrick Evans will emcee this year’s event at the Tramway’s Mountain Station. Festivities begin at 5:30 p.m. with the Palm Springs High School Choir performing holiday favorites. Immediately following, Chapman lights the Tram’s landmark 45-foot tree comprised of over 4,000 LED lights, which can be seen throughout the Coachella Valley.

 

Desert Hot Springs

CITY OF DESERT HOT SPRINGS PARADE OF LIGHTS AND HOLIDAY FESTIVAL

When: December 9, 2023 from 5:45 PM to 10:00 PM

Get into the spirit of the season with our Parade of Lights, where shimmering floats and dazzling displays will light up the night. FREE pictures with Santa Claus: Santa will be there to listen to your wishes and take pictures with kids of all ages! Food Galore: Satisfy your taste buds with delicious treats from our food vendors. Live Music, Carnival rides, & face painting!

Location: Parade starts at Palm and Mission Lakes Blvd. and ends at Palm and 2nd Street. The holiday festival is on Palm and Pierson immediately following the parade.
