Palm Desert chose to cancel one of their biggest events of the year, the traditional 4th of July fireworks display and concert at Civic Center Park.
However…..City staff is encouraging everyone to “stay home together” to celebrate the 4th in a completely unique way!!< At 9 p.m., two local radio stations – 98.5 the Bull and U-92.7 – will play a selection of favorite patriotic tunes in synchronized stereo.
This means you can rock out “together” with your neighbors all across the desert!
So step outside, turn up the volume on your radios, and let music and freedom ring out under the stars for all to hear in a once-in-a-lifetime shared experience that we’d like to think of as a socially distanced block party!
